John 13:1 (ESV) – Now before the Feast of the Passover, when Jesus knew that his hour had come to depart out of this world to the Father, having loved his own who were in the world, he loved them to the end.

It was the last 24 hours of Jesus’ life on this planet. Hanging over His head was the knowledge that He would become “sin for us who knew no sin”. The Father would expend His wrath for the disobedience of the entire human race on His perfectly compliant, beloved Son.

“ Having loved His own, He loved them to the end.”

Although Jesus knew that his disciples would forsake him in his greatest hour of need, he loved them to the end! Jesus’ love will last to our ends!

·       To the end of our faith

·       End of our strength

·       End of our life!

This type of love will take you beyond your end!
